Guidelines for freshers...

Hello Freshers,

Note: Guidelines are solely dedicated to freshers preparing for IT software jobs

Being a fresher no one in the organization expects... which you are not suppose to know ;)
So forget everything and just follow the instructions below :P

  1. Practice aptitude, reasoning, puzzles etc as much as you can (40%)
  2. Computer fundamentals like operating system and database concepts (20%)
  3. SQL (Structured Query Language) here is link SQL from http://www.w3schools.com (10%)
  4. Don't mess up by learning too many languages rather than try to focus in only one language and be proficient in it. Here I am talking about Java but you can choose any programming language (30%)
Java
  1. First off, start with OOPS (object-oriented programming) concepts here is a nice article OOPS from http://www.java.sun.com
  2. "if(step 1) move to step 3 else repeat step 1"
  3. Setup the development environment for Java programming how? here is the link Install Java
  4. Follow this fantastic book "Head First Java by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates"
  5. Practice as much as you can by writing/running/debugging small programs
This is what all I could think at the moment and its more then enough I believe :)
Will keep you posted in case of any updates
